The check-in kiosk
Open your gym site's /kiosk/check-in page on a tablet at the door and leave it there; it's a shared terminal, no login. Members type their 8-character check-in code and get an instant green (welcome) or red (problem) screen, then it resets for the next person.
- "Code not recognized" — they mistyped, or forgot their code. It's on their own dashboard's Attendance card; have them log in on their phone.
- "Already checked in recently" — duplicate taps within the window are ignored on purpose; they're fine.
- "No classes remaining" — their class pack is used up. Renew the pack (or take payment) and check them in manually.
- "Connection error" — the tablet lost network; the screen resets itself. Check the wifi, and check people in manually in the meantime.
Manual check-in from the admin console works for anyone and is the only path that can override the duplicate-window guard. In a franchise, members of sibling locations can check in at your kiosk with their home code; their home gym's membership pays for it.
Payments and dues
A member's dues live on their profile: what's pending, what's overdue, what's paid. Record cash/manual payments directly, or let the member pay by card through checkout. Waiving a due is possible but tracked; it lands in the audit log with your name on it.
New members
A new member needs three things: an account, a member profile, and a membership on a plan. The admin console walks through all three from Members; their check-in code is created with the profile and shows on their own dashboard's Attendance card. Have them sign the waiver (on your gym site) before their first class.
Merchandise
The Store sells whatever admins stock under Products, with live inventory; if it says out of stock, it is. Members buy from their own account; you don't need to ring anything up.
